For work reasons we are looking at buying one of these and it would also become our towcar.

I saw an attractively priced L200 but have heard they can be unstable when towing a large van, I have had Nissan Navara and Ford ranger recommended instead.

Any information on these and any other pickups would be great, we will be towing a 1710kg MTPLM TA, appx MPG figures would be useful too.

Mitsubishi have a new edition L200 out with new suspension had a great write up in CC and l think in PC, the Raging Bull is the one to go for has full equipment pack and same price has the Warrior, l think the Warrior or the Animal was the one they tested.

Hi,

We have a Navara Adventura. Leather, Sat Nav, Climate Control, Electric Seats, Automoatic lights wipers etc etc. God I could be a sales women :)

In a nutshell the front half is as good as most cars. The rear is fantastic 2x kids bike, awning, windbrake, steps, hubbies go everywhere tool box. Loads of space.

On top of that it pulls our SuperStorm twin axle with no problems. Oh did I mention also cruise control, great on motorway when towing the van.

Hope you find something suitable.

Older L200 can be a bit skittish without a load. Nissan turbos have been reported as suspect. check your weights for the ford if not going for the 3000, and same for the isuzu

I have a Denver Rodeo 3.0 Auto & pull a 1600kg MTPLN single axle, I have twin roof boxes on the roof of the truck 300lt's each

http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4.php?query=KM571&emulate=boxgen&qty=
( they are easier to load & unload ) 5 leather seats with air con & cruise control ,the back of the truck is for our dogs, last time out I weighed the whole unit ( there is a ministry weigh bridge a few miles up the road ) & total of 4270kg.

The wife worked out we still had a 400kg left Hmm !!!

It pulls like a dream, the back doors on the cab are the widest opening in its class & if I remember it was the CC towcar of the year 2005 ?

MPG ? About 25 towing 30 to 34 on a run

( you can't pull a four bedroomed house for nothing )
