Insulation for ceiling and walls

Hi all. I appreciate there may already be topics covering this, but with no Search facility and so many posts headed up things like 'advice please', its hard to know where to look! We have a converted Unimog which we'll be taking to Africa soon, but want to add to the existing insulation. Is there any kind of panelled insulation, maybe laminated foam, thats easily cut to size and stuck on, which would be good for the job?

Have a look on the www.diy.co.uk, and the www.wickes.so.uk websites under their 'insulation' heading. I don't know whether they will list anything suitable. B%Q are advertising a half price deal on white fluffy insulation made out of recycled plastic bottles, or expensive sheeps wool! They also have rolls of 'space blanket' foil which may be suitable.

hello

The best insulation in panel form is polyurethane, sold as "Kingspan" or "Celotex" among other trade names, it is more rigid than polystyrene and has double the insulation properties of polystyrene ie 10mm of Kingspan is as good as 20mm of polystyrene. it is available from most builders merchants but rarely seen in the diy sheds.
