Interior fabric issue

We have just recently bought a 2007 Bailey Pageant Champagne, with full dealership guarantee etc. Problem is that one of the buttons on the front seats is losing its fabric cover. From my reading of the Bailey guarantee I think this would only be covered for the first year if it was proven to be a manufacture issue which will probably mean we aren't covered as the van is just over the 12 month age. If this is the case, can anyone offer any advise for a fix for this problem?

Thanks

Graeme

Thanks, but maybe I did not make it clear it is the front seat itself and there isnt a button on the other side which I can swap over. May just have to put this to a specialist for repair. Just wondered if anyone else has suffered this problem, my fear is that every time I sit on the seat and move that I am in danger of pulling the fabric covering off the button. I can see the cover has a zip to allow removal but given the "rolled" fron ege profile of the seat cushion, am not confident of ability to refit.

what colour is the fabric.I bought a meter of the beige suede type fabric from series 6 Indiana,if its the same I can cut a small square off which an uphlsterer could recover button and refit. If not Bailey sell the fabric, minimum meter mine cost about

Hi Graeme

It is a simple job as long as your supplier has the tool.Go and ask them to order a new button in, it will come into them and using what looks like a large knitting needle they will replace the old button using this needle pulling the button through to the back and at the back the little white plastic piece will be in the right place.

Where is your local dealer?

Our local dealer is Dyce Caravns in Aberdeen where we bought the van from. They seem to be good in the after sales service so will ask the question of them.

Thanks for all the answers to my question muchly appreciated.

Take it to a local upholsterer, they can use the original button for the cloth and its a five min fix.

That will be Codonas at the beach I assume you mean? Yes it is still there, part of the fixtures and fittings of the beach area! Used to get other visiting shows on area opposite Codonas but now only the Chinese Circus in July/August time.

Cheers
