We were supposed to be having a fortnight in Bavaria touring and we visiting friends but due to my wifes mum who is very ill in australia we decided to stay and have it in england, justin case we have to jump a flight to aussie.

we drove down to bexhill area from woodbridge in suffolk stayed a couple of days then moved on to Winchester then onto the vale of Evesham,if you have not been to that part of the country I can recommend it.It is lovely especialy around Broadway. What really spoilt it was the idiot truck drivers, the senile couples who sit in the middle lane at 50 mph and the young females who overtake you at 62mph then slow to 55 when they have done so,causing me having to overtake them. Also I have never seen so many disco"s pulling single axle caravans all doing 55mph,they were at least 12 of them on the A14 was there a 4x4 rally somewhere??? Anyway apart from that the weather was great till we pulled up to our front door then the heavens opened a fitting end to our first long break this year.

With so many disc's I bet the sound of music was deafening. Allen hope all will soon be well with your mother-in-law and that you will not have to make that journey to down under - except to visit. Glad your first outing was enjoyable. Another attractive area in the Cotswolds is Bourten-on-the-Water which is a very pretty village with a motor museum and bird gardens as added attraxtions.

you probably passed the members of the discovery owners club on their way to their second rally as a group. as for pulling at 55mph this is a sensible speed and keeps apace of wagons and within the speed limit of 60mph.
