Hi All.Having taken seriously a remark made on this forum regarding the safety aspects of caravan tyres and having them balanced, I decided to take mine to a national tyre repairer to be balanced as Id just purchased the van a few months ago....after all...its only a fiver a wheel.....when I returned to pick them up, and much to my surprise, the fitter told me that both the tyres have Tyron safety bands fitted and that the wheels were badly out of balance, or as the fitter put it "Bangin about like newly weds in a bed!!" at 45 MPH.A fact bore out by the 2 new large lead weights fitted to the rim of each wheel. Id like to thank those of you who suggested I balanced them and suggest to anyone thinking about it to get it sorted . thanks

Perhaps his story may prompt others to take more care of their caravan wheels and tyres.
