Hi

We bought a 56 plate Sedona TS auto last year (new shape).

We tow a Pageant Burgundy at 24.5ft and 1400 fully laden, the Sedona has absolutely no trouble and is a delight as I've said before, especially manoeuvering.

At just over 14k now the engines just loosening up nicely.

In fact I've just had a brand new Sorento XE manual as a courtesy car whilst mine was serviced and would say I much prefer the Sedona.

When we take family with us, I agree the room afforded is brilliant.

In fact when we go alone it's a treat to be able to load the back of the car and not have to empty the caravan when arriving on site, it's just pitch and play time.

I've tried auto and manual towing but find just leaving it in auto and relaxong the best proposition.

Incidentally if you load bike roof racks, you'll find the elctric sliding doors allow you to step on the back platform in the passenger bay, brilliant.

Best regards

Tomo

Hi Ernie

I think I'm right in saying the Sedona will tow up to 2 tons safely. It's very stable and roomy, but they are a little thirsty and the new ones about

Hi

thanks for the advice, I was looking for another option than a 4x4.

Like a lot of people trying to get the best solo/ towing car.

Sorento or Santa Fe ? . A galaxy would be great if it would do.

The van is 1545kg loaded 1735kg, just dont know what to do. The van is stored at stowford farm devon approx 530 miles round trip (solo)which I do will do a number of times in next few months.

we use an 04 Galaxy 130 psi and it pulls our indiana great. The economy suffers toeing 25/28 but solo get 45/48 on a run.Tbh depreciation has been bad ,no better than Kias and it was 27K new with the extras but it has been very little trouble,I would look at sedona next time tho cos of the sliding doors, had them on a Dodge Caravan )iirc) on holiday in Florida and they were great, press button on your way up and throw the kids in.

I have an 08 Sedona Diesel Auto which I use to tow my twin axle 1800kg caravan. It's an excellent combination.

the galaxy , alhambra, sharran have the same towing limit as the sedona at 2000 kgs, when we had our alhambra tdi 130 it towed our coachman laser 590/4 twin axle with ease and was an excellent outfit. sure you dont get so many toys in the above compared to the sedona but you are getting a much better car in regards to fuel economy and residule values.

Chris the width of the Sedona does mean that we select our parking space more carefully. However, it has sliding rear doors which mean that access is relatively easy even in a confined space.

Note that the wheel track - width - is also wide which aids stability.

Chris

As stated previously we tow with a 56 plate(new model) Sedona auto. Have no complaints at all except thought I'd get the cheaper tax because it's new shape but don't, oh well such is life.

Owned and towed with a Fiat Multipla at one stage, which was great but wider than the Sedona. Just as stated watch where you park.

The electric doors at the rear are worth there weight in gold.

Best regards

Tomo
