I,ve got a knitting pattern which makes up jumpers/coats for small dogs or puppys. They will really keep your dog nice and warm in this weather. Anyone like me to send them or email the pattern please let me know. If you live near the Wigan area and would like one i,m sure we can swap email addresses somehow. Got them in different colours. Make your own in your favourite football team colours or a nice christmasy one for now. Erica.x.

My friend has just 'rescued' a 2yr old whippet and is in desparate need of a knitted coat. We have tried all the local pet shops to no avail. Could you send me a copy of the knitting pattern, please, and I will pass it on.

Please mod(s) would you pass on my email.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks parkys I,ve now sent the pattern to both ladies. Hope you both enjoy and like the jumpers. You can alter the sizes by increasing the amount of stitches you cast on and add extra length as well. Hope the whippet likes his/her jumper.

Chrissie what dog have you got. I,ve got 4 dogs, 2 border collies, a black lab "they don,t get the jumpers" and a 13yrs old shih tzu. I also knit for the local charity shop as well , keeps me busy and my mind active.

Hi,

When I saw the title, I immediately remembered having to wear knitted swimming trunks when I was a kid. Anybody else? And I thought "You nasty person!" ;-)

Some people spin their GSD moult into wool. Idea? Two advantages. It recycles a waste product. And a little dog wearing a GSD smelling coat might feel safer walking down the road. But then I remembered my mate vacuumed his wet GSD. He had to dump the hoover due the the everlasting smell of wet dog.

But seriously ..... power to your elbow, a lovely idea.

Hi Colleen

Erica was the lady who offered the knitting patterns.

I've tried a couple of times to forward your email address but my emails to Erica have been bounced back.

I'll try again over the weekend

hi all,

I had the same thought as 602 when I read the first post "why" I can picture a scotty dog in a tartan coat or a pug in a black suit ie; MIB11, and then I got this mental picture of a rottie walking down the street in a pink long sleeved polo neck sweater??

I allmost wet myself laughing.

Hi Colleen,

I am having trouble sending e mails to Erica too. She's sent several to me ok, but whenever I try to reply they come back to me saying 'undelivered' and I have no other way of contacting her to let her know there is a problem. I know her computer crashed and it seems to have happened since then. (Just hope she sees this thread as I know she goes on regularly - see 'FAO Erica' in General!) In the meantime I have the pattern, so if you you kindly ask the mods to send me your e mail address I will forward it to you. I am in the process of knitting one at the moment so sorry LMH can't send you any photos of doggy in coat till it's finished!!!
