we have decided that for our first 'foreign' outing to go to le bien asisse (we being 4 families with small children and all taken up caravanning within the last couple of years)has anyone been before and is it any good? we shall be travelling from scotland in a small convey!!!! i'll bet we are going to be very popular amongst the non-caravanning community

A great site have used it many times as a jumping of piont for traveling futher into france, and as a plsce to unwind on the way home one thing to look out for on leaving the docks you will need to get onto the A16 I leave at sortie 14 and get onto the D215 this brings you to the D231 turn right site is 200 yards on left. Great site have lots of fun.

Le Bien Asisse is a very good site particularly for newcomers travelling abroad.

I afraid I would never ever consider travelling in convoy as it puts added strain on everyone, those in front keeping an eye on those behind and those behind trying to keep up with the ones in front. I have been abroad many times with some other caravanning friends and it is always a case of see you at the next site, port, etc.

I aggree wholeheartedly with Dusty. Travel with friends by all means, but these days with mobile phones etc, you can always contact each other should it be necessary in the event of a breakdown etc. Just decide where you are going to end the day, and meet up there. Not everyone wants to travel at the same speed all the time, or make the same "comfort" stops etc! and can lead to a bit of friction now and then, no matter how "pally" you are.
