Has anyone stayed at this site in eguisheim alsace; it looks a great location but have not much info on actual site.We are staying in Alsace mid june, but not sure if this area is busy compared with summer months. Any comments would be gratefully received, we syaed at Claire Vacance last september which although a very good site, very little within walking distance.

Can't help with the site but we have stayed in the Alsace a couple of times in June and it hasn't been particularly busy. For some reason the area doesn't seem popular with Brits, although the Danes seem to love it. We've always used the Intercommunal site near Riquewihr as it's within walking distance of the mediaeval town, Storks are regular visitors to the site and they will often eat out of your hand. However, it's a typical municipal site without a swimming pool and such. The website for Les Trois Chateaux makes the site look OK and Eguisheim is a lovely place, so give it a try. At that time of year you won't need to book and you can always move if it doesn't come up to scratch.

We were there at Easter - left Good Friday and people were being turned away at 8.30 a.m. as the site was full. A lovely location and Eguisheim is a beautiful village / town. The local wine is lovely. The site is very quiet and enjoys visits from storks. Very popular with Germans, Dutch and Scandinavians. Pitches are generally hard standing and of reasonable size. The amenities are good and well maintained with plenty of hot water. A small play area for children. We will definitely return. Another site we have used is the municipal at Turkheim also good but with some road and rail noise.
