Hi

Has anyone got any advice how to remove marks left by leaves on both the fibreglass and main alloy sides I park the van underneath trees and this year the leaves have left a lot of marks on the van,I have used cleaners but so far the marks will not come out.I have now bought a cover but I still have to remove the marks.

Help!!

people think its from roof but you will find it comes from seals like window rubbers the best way to rid them is simply mr sheen or other spray polish.

Ken, whatever else you do, I would not advise you to use T Cut on a caravan - it will do what is says on the can...cut, probably to the bare metal! Go for the proprietory cleaners, possibly neat Fenwicks, but rub carefully.

If all else fails and before you ruin the caravan paintwork by using T Cut try a giving the caravan good wash down with hot water and a good proprietary brand of caravan shampoo such as Fenwicks followed by a polish using a high grade slightly abrasive polish such as Auto Glym or better still Meguiars Stage 2.
The polish is much less abrasive than T Cut but it will remove really ingrained marks which shampoo/ water has not already moved.
You could then follow the polish treatment with a wax using a carnauba wax product such as Meguires Stage 3 Wax or silicone based Auto Glym Wax Sealant to leave a protective coat over the paintwork before deploying your caravan cover to prevent future problems.
