Leaking Tap

Last time out we found a small leak on the hot water connection to the bedroom tap - 2008 Adria Adora 532 UP - the hose has a metal cover approx 2 cms long 'crimped' onto the end - this appears loose on the tap connection. We were told it would be necessary to change the full tap at a cost of approx £70.
When I went to remove the tap I expected the other end of the hose to be connected with a jubilee clip but found what appears to be a permenent metal fitting connecting it to a T piece - it is not an 'O' fitting - can't see any obvious way to remove it without resoting to a faithful junior hacksaw.
Any ideas/thoughts

If you meanit goes into a plastic T piece, there is a collar on the end of the T piece, around the pipe, press the collar down and pull the pipe out.

it may be the dedicated fitting they some times used as this was a factory fit you can cut inbetween and make a push fit and a new tap but the old tap may be re used the space is the problem.

p>Went to storage site tonight to take a photograph - my 'technical friend' came with me and managed to remove the fitting at the T piece end - this allowed us to remove the tap.  On close examination it looks like the leak is at the O ring seal in the tap - will try to replace and see if it is effective</p> but if not will follow FGs advice and make a push fit with jubilee clips to secure.

Many thanks for your comments - much appreciated

Brian
