hi, we have stayed at the site about 2 years ago in the off peak season and were very impressed with it. The pitches are quite large, and are well spread out. The site was in a lovely area and the facilities were clean. Would go back again.
We went about 5 years ago. It hadn't been open for many seasons. Lovely site then. Big pitches and clean facilities. Nice walk through the trees to a garden centre that did good breakfasts (and other grub). Sounds like it is still good.

This site is one of the best sites in Derbyshire Ive been to and is also a good stop off for Matlock and Matlock Bath.
If you get the offer of an elevated pitch or even ask for one the view over the Amber Valley is awesome.
Matlock Bath if you have youngsters has Has Gullivers World and there are plenty of places to visit locally.
Later in the year I think its around September an old tradition is carried out on the river in Matlock Bath where you will see boats all lilluminated into all sorts of things this is a must later .
Expensive ? Yes..... Worth it ? yes.and dont forget if you have a ride out to Buxton take your 5 ltr cotainers and help yourself to the Buxton Spring water absolutely free .
I hope you enjoy it ..... Sir Roger
