Just to put a bit more meat on rogers reply, if the battery is in a poor condition, then when ever a large current device is turned on such as the pump, the battery voltage falls which can be visible as lights dimming.

It could also be caused by inadequate wiring. If the caravan has been rewired by a DIYer, if they didn't understand the need for the correct gauge and fitted undersize cables then again the lights may dim when ever a devise is turned on.

I'll add to Roger's and the Prof's. Check all the earth connections starting from the battery and working back to the lights and pump circuits.
Assuming the battery is not duff.

The first thing to do is check the connections on the battery, both the clamp or bolt to the battery terminal and the cable connected to that clamp or bolt. The thing that matters with a connection - especially one drawing high current although this is not the case here - is the amount of surface area actually contacting, the more the better.

Then, if you can, measure the voltage across the battery terminals with and without the pump running. If the battery is OK there should be difference of only a small fraction of a volt, but if the battery is on its way to see its maker the voltage drop will be very much greater.
