Loose fitting carpets

I have a 1993 Abbey and I want to replace the fitted carpet with loose fitting carpets, like the new caravans have now. This seems a good idea as I have two small children and as we all know they always manage to drag something in with them, wet or dry weather. Has anyone fitted these loose fitting carpets into an older van? what are the down falls and where can I get them from?

You can get carpets made up at many carpet shops who will whip the edges for you.Try ringing round carpet fitters/shops in the yellow pages for your area.

Personally I don't like the current fashion as we find it necessary to go round the edges with the crevice tool as crumbs/bits etc collect there.

We have a new bailey Senator on order and our first job will be to get a proper fitted carpet.

One man's meat etc.
