low water pressure

hi

I have a 2005 unit fitted with truma crystal water pump and truma heater. I have had a few problems with the water system, but have established that the pump itself is OK, and I have replaced the housing unit, which removed the fact the water didn't work at all some times.

However, I consider that I have low water pressure (certainly lower than on my previous caravan which had the same system). can anyone offer an idea why this might be?

I have checked the polarity on the 12 volts, and it is OK

thanks

Steve

hi steve

have a look around on this site im sure that your problem has come up before and i think the fault was a kinked pipe in the system

Steve a good place to start is the little filters in the end of your taps ,unscrew these and check to see if they are clogged up with black like sediment.

I have a similar problem with our our Ace Supreme cleaned taps out as suggested here and there was improvement.

Good luck

thanks all, I did spot another thread on this subject and had a read, and it gave me a few things to check.

I have found that by bridging across the wires supplying 12 volt to the tap I get a significant increase in pressure coming out. Does this mean the tap is worn or defective? and if so, is it repairable or is a replacement tap the only option?

I have stripped the taps down and removed the micro switch, and have ordered a new one. I'll let you know if it cures the problem or not, just in case anyone has similar problems
