Hi to one and all!
Has any one used Camping Caravaning International near Paris? It says it is on an island in the river Seine,so does the site flood in spring? Also how easy is it to access with a t/a caravan? The main reason for using this site is because it has rentals that allow dogs.My sister and her husband want a rental on a site we can use too. It is not our prefered option but they do allow dogs in some of their rental chalets. Any help much appreciated as always.

We used to use it, but only for overnight stops - and one time did stop for a couple of nights and caught the train into Paris. Personally it isn't a site I'd want to stay on for a longer stay.
When we last visited the toilet block was in a very dirty state (the sort that comes with long periods of not being cleaned properly, not just the muddy feet sort) and the site felt quite run down and the facilities all looked tired and in need of some TLC. We haven't been back again since, and it's quite a while now ago so things may well have changed for the better - hopefully!

Interesting comment above. We stayed there about 9 years ago and it was just the same then!
If you do go make sure to get a pitch centre or right viewed from the gate and away from the river. There are mega-midges near the river and some river traffic that can be a bit noisy, but the worst is the railway line on the bridge over the river at the other (left) end of the site. Trains run all night and make an enormous din.
It does however have the advantage of a 10min or so walk to the local RER station into central Paris.

Hi
We stayed at Huttopia Versailles in August. They have log cabins and gypsy caravans to rent and they accept 1 animal in each rental unit. Ideal site for visiting Paris and Versailles with the RER station 6 mins walk up the road (20 mins to Paris), easy access, loos cleaned daily, friendly staff, small pool and food is available. We would happily stay there again, our only negative was that access to some pitches was a bit tricky due to trees/stumps in the way, also the site is on a slope. If you have a mover fitted it should be fine, we booked one of the larger (Espace) pitches and ended up driving onto to the pitch and then manually turning the van. We chose this site as other sites close to Paris had bad reviews and we didn't want expensive train rides for 4 of us.
