We don't use our table in the van as we are normally just the two of us. We use the sliding top of the chest for most meals etc. I noticed the other day how heavy the table is, Question if I remove the table and replace it with a plastic one for use outside. Would the weight difference come off the MIRO figure and would I be correct in assuming I could increase the MTPLM by the difference???

If you replace a heavy table with a lighter one, you can increase your Pay-load, which is the amount of equipment that you can carry, but you cannot increase your MTPLM.

MIRO's are generally very approximate anyway, and the only sure way of knowing the 'van's weight, is to take it to a weighbridge.

Yes, Frank, you'd be reducing the MIRO figure. As Eddie says, you can't change the MTPLM (at least not without replating the caravan).
