What's the most incredulous thing you have seen a fellow caravanner do? And/or what's the most ignorant thing you've heard or seen a person do on a site?

Mine, surprisingly relates to dogs.

1. GSD long haired. The owners stripped its coat on their pitch and my god, I have never seen so much dog hair in my life. It was a beautiful sunny day and they just left this mound of fur in situ.

2. Sandringham CCC. Two vans arrive, occupants have two labs, tie them both to a tree just where our hook up cable is so we had to move it. Then they just ignored the fact that their dogs were left to bark, bark, bark, occasionally, a child would run out of the awning and scream 'shut up'. The dogs were tied out all the time (apart from when the occupants went to bed) and started barking at 7 am and we only had peace if they went out with the owners in the car. After three days, they were asked to leave. Astonishingly, I heard one of the owners of said dogs scream at her partner 'did you tell them it wasn't OUR DOGS barking'. Priceless.

The touring warden at the last site I stayed at parking up in the trees behind the camp at 7.00pm and blasting out Roy Orbison's 'I drove all night' over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over 'a ha yeah' and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and 'crept in your room' over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and overand over and over and over 'is that alright?' and over and over and over and over and over until 10.00pm for four night on the trot.

Went over to murder him one night only to find him sitting in his car with a fake microphone screaming out at the top of his voice. I guess he was practicing for some talet competetion.

My back side can sing more in tune though.

I bet you laugh about it now though??? LOL!! (joke).

God, you should have shot him and claimed diminished responsibility. You'd have got off with it.

I remember a few years ago one Bank holiday weekend going to Park Coppice in the Lakes. The site was just about full when we got there but we found a free pitch right at the back of one of the small pitching area's. We were walking round the site initially to find a pitch.

The only way to get the van to the pitch was to reverse it about 100 yards from the road. This I did - though it took at least 5 attempts. Relieved to have the van in place we then proceeded to unload everthing and start to set up.

After 20 minutes or so the bloke on the next pitch who had been sat outside his van drinking a beer watching the whole time decided to walk up and say "you do realise the electric hook up on that pitch isnt working dont you?"

Im ashamed to say my response of "why didnt you tell me that half an hour ago" was mixed with the odd expletive here and there.

Im not sure if this was incredulous or ignorant (probably both!!) but at least we laugh about it know.
