If your caravan is stored for the winter months a few mothballs in the gas locker and in floor level cupboards goes some way to deter mice from entering your caravan where they will be capable of a tremendous amount of damage to furnishings etc.
so do lots of other things but moth balls are very useful. There have been quite a few posts on this forum reporting mice damage. My caravan is stored at home but i still use them during the winter.
Having looked at this am currently using mothballs to deter the little furry things from going into our garage and thinking of putting them in the caravan as well but what about the smell, dont mind a pong in the garage but not too keen on sleeping with the same smell
I take the moth balls out of the 'van and put them into the front locker when leaving the storage site. By the time we get to wherever we are going the smell has gone.
I put the mothball in old used smelley things that wife gets to go around the house. Once used up cut a small hole just big enough for the mothballs to be pushed in about five then place them around caravan. When its time to use caravan collect up and place in old large icecream container seal lid place in front locker to be used on retain. Job Done.
well...............i think that all of you who use mothballs are cruel.............just think of all the moths that have been castrated just so you lot can stop mice entering your caravan.buy a mouse trap!!!!
