Mould/Mildew Removal Advice From Front Curtains

Folks,

We have the beginnings of mould/mildew on both front & back of our front curtains and am after some advice. Will having the curtains dry cleaned remove this or are there any products anyone has used which will remove the mould/mildew without damaging the curtains. Curtaisn are a light cream colour.

In future will remove curtains over winter to prevent this happening again.

Keith, we had the same problem and just removed the curtains and washed them carefully with a mild detergent, the pink stuff comes to mind, that removed the majority as it was on the liners not the curtains themselves.Had the same problem with the nets of the fly screens, just sprayed them with a mild bleach solution and then clean water and wiped them off.I now close the curtains over the winter and that seems to have sorted it as it seems worse when they are bunched up.
