Hello Christine,

The Eldiss web site states that MTPLM of the Elddis Avante 524 is 1375kgs

All of the large MPV's such as:

Citroen C8,

Chrysler Voyager,

Fiat Ulysse ,

Ford Galaxy ,

Kia Sedona,

Mercedes Viano,

Peugeot 806,

Renault Espace,

Seat, Alhambra

Toyota Previa and the

Volkswagen Sharan :

are more than capable of coping with the 524. I have little doubt that any of the above will tow that Eldiss easily- as always towing compatibility is not reliant on just a simple weight ration, it is down to proper loading of kit, and the maintenance of both the car and caravan, and of course driving skills.

You would need to check with the manufactures specifications for compatibility with any of the more recent smaller MPV's

We tow a Compass Corona 636 with a Seat Alhambra, no problem, so I believe it would easily cope with yours.

Our van is a heavier TA from the same stable.

Hi,

That depends upon what you regard as "Best" in an mpv, most stable? most economical? most roomy?. With some exceptions, most medium and large mpv's are capable of towing your caravan,

In large mpv's the VW Sharan and it's sisters from Ford and Seat along with the new galaxy and S-max offer a very good combination of stability, economy and space though reliability is questionable.

The VW touran 2.0 tdi would be worth a close look, it's smaller and more economical than the Sharan.
