Was thinking of a day out at the up and coming Birmingham show in October.

It is under review though. Seems the policy of Clarion the event organiser, has changed this year for those of us falling in the 'Senior Citizen' bracket. With the other rises in prices, fuel being a prime example, etc, not sure if it is now value for money and whether worth attending as I suspec the number of exibitors will also be substantially done this year.

Clarion it appears has ceased to provide any age concession/senior citizen ticket. One flat fee of £12.95 under the quaint heading of Advance Day Pass. Last year I paid £10 per person on the door. This year the On the door price is a staggering £14.95.

Is this opportunism riding on the back of the reported increase in Caravan holidays and those increased numbers now reported as holidaying in the UK?

I accept that there are cheaper deals available through the clubs.

Just been to the Lawns show near Hull(with free downloaded ticket)

As far as I could see there were no bargains to be had although it didn't rain for a change, which was a pleasant change.
