Any one recommend a site for the New Forest area we are looking for a week in August and one we liked the look of wants £440.00 for 7 nights

(Sandy Balls)
There will be three adults and grandchild so a play park would be handy
Would also like a pub/bar meal establishment, not bothered about a full entertainment venue though.
The pub can be within walking distatance.
Would also like to be in travelling distance to Bournemouth and Southhampton
Many Thanks

Hi Kev. Not sure this will meet your criteria but just have a look at Hill Cottage Farm Fordingbridge. The site is Fantastic and has a nice dog walk etc ,You may have to share the night time on site with owls in the wood. Pub just down the road but as i say see for yourself.. Sir Roger.

Can't help with other sites in New Forest but we paid 325 for Easter week at Sandy Balls last year and have re-booked today for Easter 2013.
We had never been to New Forest before but a friend suggested SB so we gave it a try, although it was the most we'd ever paid for a weeks touring. All four of us (2 boys aged 5 and 8) absolutely loved this site and the area. The site is busy but really clean, the pitch was great even though there had been a lot of rain and the activities / facilities excellent. Cycling around the site and on the routes through beautiful villages nearby made the holiday. Some of the pubs around looked very inviting but we didn't use them as the on site pub was so good.
Just thought I'd give my opinion as we enjoyed it so much.

If you are a member of either of the clubs their sites will be a lot cheaper. You do get a fairly basic playground on most but no swimming pool.

Hi Kev hope you had a good festive season
We have stayed at the CC site for the past three years great site for bike riding and for a day into Bournemouth and such but no pub nearby which is a shame but cant fault the site one of their best in my opinion and half the price of S/B
There are loads of sites one be near a pub or give up drinking.he he

Our kids have always been happy with Hollands Wood, nothing but freedom, NO tacky extras, pure natural fun. Who needs a swimming pool when you have a river, who needs a playground when you have the forrest. This year we have 7 night july/August in this site for £150 in our caravan and Mum with her tent. We wouldn't miss our yearly trip down there for the world. And the kids are still coming with us bringing their kids so the age range is 2yrs to 70yrs and we will continue for years and years to come.

Hi Kevin.
Have you booked yet?
If you are still looking, try Hobourne Bashley Park. We went there for Easter 2011 and had a good time.
It ticks all your boxes plus has cider on draft.

See Ya
