Hi,

Has anybody looked into this as a tow car/every day driving car. I am looking at one to pull my Argente 650/6 (1700kgs). I know it won't be within the 85%, however it has a max tow of 2200kgs and should have power to pull it. The kerb weight is 1870kg.

Come on all any comments on this match would be apreciated. As it's a new car there's not much to go on.

Thanks

Tony

Hi Tony ,Why dont you go on to what car website or buy the what car guide ,it wont tell you about towing ,but you get a rough idea about the car you are going to buy ,here's an extract from the guide for the Sante Fe

The 2.7 litre V6 petrol has plenty of shove and 4 speed automatic gearbox as standard ,however the best power plant to choose is the lusty 2.0 litre turbo Diesel that pulls more strongly and offers 39,8 mpg ,so to read more go to what car

Hi Tony,

My Santa Fe is 20 months old with 14,000 miles on the clock.

I started caravaning last year, and the van I purchased was a Coachman vip. I am over the 85% but within the limits. Todate I have travelled 2,000 miles with it. The car went to the garage last week to get a new clutch. Hyundai wont honour the warranty they say it's my driving!!

Been driving for 40 years and the first clutch I have had to replace.

Cost me

Eddies post sounds a very similar experience to what I went through

Although I was towing something a lot lighter and smaller at the time
