I was just wondering what modifications to your van you have done and found beneficial to you.
I have put in the end bedroom a small strip light (240v) with a pull switch so when we need to get up in the night we have a light we can put on before stumbling out off bed and also see when getting in.

I 've fitted small LED 12 volt plinth lights just above floor level. The blue light glow illuminates the floor, we can see where we are going without waking sleeping partner. Also great mood lighting in the evening. Some under cupboard LED's next and some for the awning.

In our Abbey Vogue 495 I fitted a light above the washbasin to give light when washing and making up (the wife, not me).I used the same type as fitted in the shower compartment, and fitted it on the wardrobe wall, taking a 12v supply from the aeriel booster. I have also fitted a small shelf high on the outer wall above the window in the basin area. I sourced the brackets from Homebase and they have the same brushed finish as the other van fittings. The shelf is not deep enough from the wall to foul the shower door when opened, and is large enough to take various toiletry items...very useful.I also fitted two further towel rings, one on either side of the existing ONE.
Regard to all

Our first Avondale Mayfair had four reading lights. I noticed the second only had two. the first one then had two before we collected the second.....

Bought plinth LED's on a B&Q clearance deal. They have a few more types I saw last week. Have also bought similar from Ebay and garden and driveway LED's via Bing search and online sales.

I have a led light with a movement sensor in it that comes on for 60 secs. I put one near the fixed bed that comes on when you get out and one in the toilet, brilliant, never have to search for a switch or pull cord.

I got something like the above from B & Q some time back, one we let go with our first van and the second one stays in our kitchen in the house.
I may buy one for the van.
