Hello everybody. We have just bought a 2003 Freedom Jetstream that we tow with a Vauxhall Zafira. W have pitched it twice now and have really enjoyed the trips and the curious glances that people give the tiny caravan!

Does anyone know where I can find a handbook for the Freedom Jetstream? I want to find what pressure the tyres should be. There does not seem to b a data plate anywhere obvious. The freedom also seems to have a slightly unusual hitch. I have struggled to unhitch the 'van, but have managed it without quite understanding how! Presumably the handbook would explain this.

Hi Mark

I have a 2008 Freedom Sunseeker that I bought new. Mine didn't come with a handbook, probably the handbooks are in Polish if they exist at all. It came with some sheets of A4 with a little bit of maintainance info though not much. The hitch is a bit odd, the dealer who sold it to me showed me how to do it, though like you I am still not entirely sure how I manage it, you have to sort of slide the handle forward and then lift it up. As for the tyre pressures,I couldn't find any info on that either. There is a formula to work it out, it is discussed elsewhere on this forum, it should be fairly easy to find. Mine were inflated to about 26psi when I got it but it wasn't towing very nicely so I pumped them up to 35psi (almost the maximum permissible for the tyres that are fitted) and it seemed to behave better.I suppose I should work it out properly really. I'm pretty pleased with mine on the whole, it was certainly good value and I don't mind the smallness as I'm a recent convert from small tents. With the awning and a bedroom annex I managed a very good camping trip a couple of weeks ago with two other adults and two small children! Having said that, I saw an even smaller caravan yesterday at a Morris festival, I don't know what make it was, but it looked like late 60's or early 70's style and was probably just about big enough for a bed!

All the best

Chris
