Hello Josh and welcome to the forum. You're right, it is a pretty steep learning curve, we're only in our 4th season so still have pleanty of learning to do.
It is a wonderful life though, we only wish we had started sooner, when the kids were little.

Bet you cant wait for next weekend. We collected our new (to us) one 4 weeks ago but haven't had the chance to go away in her yet. Going next weekend to the Peak district for a few nights to get to know her - and the new awning we had to get because the old one was too small.

The people on this forum have a wealth of knowledge and are always happy to help with advice so dont be afraid to ask if you get stuck.
Happy caravanning

right think its sorted so will try again, im new to caravans but not forums, i fly rc helicopters so am always on forums, never come across it before, but anyway here goes.
we had a brief conversation a couple weeks ago then the following week we had brought our van
a 2006 swift coastline 570 6 birth, basically a charisma, its nice
we had to sort lots out, insurance storage ect ect.
we pick it up next weekend and are taking it 140mile to the storage/camp site where we will stay in it for the weekend, first time in a caravan so should be fun.
we are all excited, especially the kids who have already picked their beds ha ha

Hi Josh
I returned to caravaning last sept after a gap of 35 yes thirty five years. I was quite amazed when I started looking at caravans at all the stuff they now have. Instant hot running water from a hot water tank unheard of in my previous life and the flush toilets. I was brought up on a standard Elsan !!! a bucket and chuck it attitude.
You will enjoy getting out and about. my wife and I dont go too far from our norfolk home. No need much wonderful countryside with a couple of hours drive.
