Hello, I am new to this forum and I must say from what I have seen I am very pleased to have joined it. I have an '06 Avondale Mayfair 556/6 which as you probably know is a special edition of the Dart. The van is always kept in doors when not in use, however we have noticed that the flyscreen on the big sliding rooflight has got what looks like little specks of mould / mildew on it. Can anybody tell me if it is possible to remove this mesh for cleaning or replacing? better still can anybody tell me where I can get a replacement.

Many thanks in advance,

Chris Ryan.

Hi Chris, I had an 03 Dart, and I cleaned the flyscreens and rooflight flyscreen with a solution of Ace laundry bleach and used a dishwash sponge/scourer to apply. I applied it in situ and the screens came up like new. I do not know how you would remove them, but keeping them in situ meant that they could dry off naturally. Used the sponge side to remove most of the mould/dirt, and the scourer side on any stubborn marks

PS Hi Chris, You can get to the inside of the screen by pulling the flyscreen gently to one side as you open it, and clean the inside while you hold it open. Replace as you close it hold to the side to get plastic back into the runner. close and clip screen over to let it dry

Thanks Tom, I will give that a try. I have had the van since new and with it always being stored indoors was a bit miffed when I noticed this.......

Thanks again

Chris.
