I am considering one of the new Truma movers, has anyone on the forum had one of the new SE models (with the auto engage) fitted and how is it in service.

Kind regards

I have just had a Truma TE mover (with Auto engage) fitted to my twin axle van.

Why didnt I do it sooner.

It works fine and, so far, seems to be fool proof.

I changed my caravan from a Bailey Oklahoma (1400kgs) fitted with old Truma model with carbide drive rollers to a Bailey Indiana (1450)kgs and went for the new Truma se mover, I can only say that i was impressed with the first mover but delighted with the SE model, it has surpassed my expectations and would not hesitate in recommending it. I keep my van in the back garden and have a kerb and some low obstacles to overcome, the first mover had to be "helped" if the conditions were wet as the rollers could slip but the new one just powers on unaided.

I picked up our new van on Tuesday a Swift 540, 3 ft longer than my previous van. I had the SE mover fitted, had about 3 minutes instruction to be fair easy to understand and operate. Sods law when I got home with the new van the way vehicles wre parked near our house would have made it virtually impossible to reverse into my drive as I normally do. So unhitched the car and away I went with the mover, 3 minutes later after manoeuvring a bit in the road reversed the caravan up a sloping dive to the exact place I wanted, to say the wife was impressed is an understatement but then again she was really impressed with the new van. First impressions of the mover could be one of the best buys I've made no smell of burning clutches or pulling and pushing the van into position, they are a lot of money but seem well worth it

Thanks chaps,

Looks as though I have to part with my money!. Noticed this year on the French sites lots of Continentals with them fitted, also they seem to be far more relaxed about position on pitch and just park to suit personal preference and sun!, at first you think how on earth did they manage to get in there...... so now a mover for me.

Kind regards
