I am looking to buy my first caravan and am looking new and second hand! I have been looking at the new Venus 2 berth, can anyone tell me if this make is ok?

Venus is part of Lunar Caravans and is their entry level range. Like all caravan manufacturers over the years they have had their bad times, but should be OK now. The Venus range are lightweight and can therefore be towed by most family cars.

As you are looking at both new and used, let me throw a thought into the mix here. Buying new is not necesarily always the best option. In this industry, caravans of all makes have problems and issues, new ones too can cause problems. A good used,12 months old would come with the residue of the manufacturers warranty and very often the previous owner has ironed out all the teething problems. It would also be fair to say, if price is an issue, that you make get more bang for your bucks buying used. The big trick about caravans is finding the layout that suits you best.
