First thing to check is are all the gas safety taps open? and the yellow tap under the regulator(which should remain ON all the time).
Are any other gas appliances working?
Do they light and stay alight or do they go out after a short time?
If they do not stay alight yet all valves are open, then it points to the regulator, which will mean a new regulator and pigtail, and if the regulator is lower than the top of th ecylinder, relocating it higher in the gas locker.

As the Regulator forms part of the fixed installation it must be changed by a suitably qualified engineer and a pressure test carried out.

Hi eddie. Me and OH are technical idiots so when something doesn't work it is usually because we have missed something obvious. Hence please do not be insulted by the following: Some cookers have a gas cut off switch which operates if the glass hob cover lid is closed. Could this be the case for you?

(I believe the scientific principle is Ockams (?spelling) razor; the simplest answer is the one to be applied first

Hi Eddie,
Not sure what make of cooker you have but if it is a Stoves then the power to the ignitor is 240v and is supplied via a socket and plug in the cupboard underneath the cooker, this supply also provides power to the electric hob.
As mentioned before there is a gas cut off to the hobs so the lid needs to be in the upright position. There is also a manifold possibly in a nearby cupboard that has colour coded valves. There is a main valve and then a valve for each appliance, cooker, space heater and water heater. When the valves are in line with the pipe this is the on position.
It sometimes takes a moment for the gas to get through from the bottle, if the space heater is working on gas then your regulator and pigtails etc should all be fine, if no gas at water heater or space heater then looks like a regulator/ bottle/ pigtail problem.

Yea it seems my Gas heater and fridge are working well, its only the cooker... grill... and the hobs light on a very low flame and if i light two or even three the flame gets weaker.

Have you changed the gas bottle? Could be just about empty..........

From the first posting "Yes there is a new bottle and its turned on"

I think that answers your question?

Hmmm, bit stange, if the bottle is full and other appliances working fine then that proves the pipework all the way to the manifold. Therefore there must be a problem with the valve at the manifold or the cut off valve in the cooker lid or perhaps a blockage/ piece of dirt perhaps somewhere which is restricting flow most likely on the hob. I can only assume that you are using propane gas as butane will not operate in low temperatures (not sure where you stay and how cold it is)
I think you will need to get hold of a qualified lpg gas engineer to have a look, my best guess would be the gas shut off valve in the cooker lid is either jammed or somehow restricting flow, I can only assume that the cooker needs to be disconnected and removed to access this valve, make sure the cooker lid is all the way up to ensure the valve is fully open. Good Luck.
