Hello Henry,
I think we were all waiting with baited breath to find out what difficulty you were having. And now we know.
Unfortunately, directing any lubrication spray at the part of the fan you can see from the front of the heater will not reach the bearings. The fan assembly needs to be removed to be able to service it properly.
If the fan is de mounted from the heater its as well to thoroughly clean it, especially removing any build up of dust in the fan vanes. Be careful not to damage or bend the vanes as this will unbalance the fan and make it vibrate when it runs.
When I last had to deal with a Truma TEB fan, the motors were plain bearings, and they do wear. If the bearing has worn, then you have to replace the motor.
If the motor bearing are squeaking then a drop of oil may stop the squeak but it will almost certainly reassert its self after a month or two.
The other thing that sometimes occurred was the the carbon based brushes would wear, they are spring loaded to compensate for wear , but if they eventually wore out the spring would drag on the commutator and squeak. Replacements used to be available, but I don't know if they still are, they don't seem to be listed on the parts list - so it may need a complete motor.
The best way to access the fan is from the top and behind of the heater. The fan assembly is fixed with two or three screws which don't need to be fully removed, as flanges on the fan housing locate around them. You shouldn't need to disconnect the flue or any other working parts of the heater to do this, unless the heater has been fitted under a side board rather than the base of a wardrobe.
