Hi JimP, we have just returned having spent a week at Easter at "The Old Brick Kilns" in Barney, near Fakenham. Fantastic site in every respect - the best commercial site I've ever stayed on!! Actually we were exceptionally lucky to have one of their premier pitches on their very own CL - all singing/dancing pitch.

Fishing pond on site, and you are about 14 miles from sea fishing. The North Norfolk area/coastline is superb and not too busy - even at the hight of summer.

Try "www.old-brick-kilns.co.uk".

Hi JimP , have not been there for a while but use to be one of our regular jaunts for sea fishing. At the time there were campsites all along the from Well next sea down to Croma and we have stayed on just about all of them.At Wells you just walk to the beach,Sheringham the same, Stiffkey also,Salthouse ,good fishing butdo not know whether the site up the road is still there.Weybourne, there are several and can be walked to the beach but it would only be a short ride in the car.Lovely area ,but we moved down South. You can find all the info on the web.Good luck.

Serles (Hunstanton). Everything you need at a site, including fishing. It is quite large and commercial so may not be everyones cup of tea.

Jim, if you have children with you then like Lol I would reccomend Searles of Hunstanton. If you want a site that is a bit quieter then I would suggest that the reccomendation for The Old brick kilns would be a good choice. Both sites have impressed with service they have provided for us over the recent past.

Although agree that Searles was a nice site would definitely not reccomend it for fishing unless it has changed drastically in the last two years

The two lakes were very small not really big enough to call ponds never mind lakes and though near the area we were pitched in meant a car drive as this area was fenced off completely

the fishing platforms were so high off the water that they were virtually unusable

at that time we were charged
