Hi, I just purchased a 2016 Vito which a closest thing to a caravan I ever had.
It is 4x4, extra-long body, has swivel chairs in front, has a table, some storage drawers, 4 (four!!!) normal size batteries.
Air heater, roof ventilation is also installed.
I am currently negotiating a purchase of the MB bed/seat and bed extension.
I would also like to address some of its issues - it has a 1600mm*80mm rectangular cutout/hole behind the left front door - I assume there was the external power supply connection. I think so, because on the inside there I have a very complicated web of wiring, fuse boxes, 2 circuit breakers etc. At the moment this is taped with plumbing tape, but the winter is coming you know...
Another issue is the roof - I have a large hole in it (also taped), several smaller holes for aerials I think.
So my main immediate concern is weather proofing the vehicle (roof and side wall), then would like to see what is all the wiring about and then to decide how to remove in a safe way the extra 2 batteries. I think a starter and a leisure battery is more than enough for my use cases, but have 0 experience, so would gladly listen to more experienced users about this and the above.
