Just two weeks to Spring Bank, REALLY looking forward to getting away as things have conspired to stop us at every opportunity so far this year.

Booked at Freshwater East, which if we get reasonable weather will be just fine, only..... Oops! Nice lady taking her offspring to school this morning decided not to stop at the exit to her road, and T-boned my car (I was livid - I`d only just washed it!).

Classed as un-driveable (you can put your hand between the door and the body shell, and they suspect suspension damage as well), they don`t think that it`ll be fixed in time.

Still, no-one was hurt, cars mend better than people, and it gave her kids something to talk about at school ("Guess what mum did today"?).

Plan B would be to use the wifes car, but I`d be £250.00 out of pocket on fuel alone (Company pay mine)which in the current climate is unbudgeted for and would hurt.

******.

You are fortunate the Company pays the cost of you using their car to pull the van on vacations. Many Companies lease the cars and towing is banned. Also, of course you know that using the Company car on vacation is a 'benefit in kind' and probably needs to be taxed........?? But who is to know. We won't tell. Will your insurance not give you a replacement car that you can use as a tug?

Unfortunately, I know all too well about benefit in kind!

We were going to change to paying our own private mileage, but never got round to it, what a lucky escape!
