can anyone please help.

we have a 1959 van with original cooker.

we have renovated the inside and are using it to tour.

however, we have a problem.

it has a ring burner either side of a larger grill? type burner.

when we turn the gas pressure up on the control knob, it blows the flame out.

we are using a 28bar regulator and 4.5kg gas bottle.

where are we going wrong.

any suggestions,help gratefully received.

thanks

martin

Put simply the gas/air mix is wrong, why this is happenning could be down to several faults or a combination of them.

The most you can do is change the regulator and make sure the burners are clean, other than that I think you need to get someone who understands how they work to look at it.

if i remember correctly there is an adjusting bolt that you adjust the mixture with to get the flame tip colour correct you can try that to see if it makes any difference
