Hi all,

I just wondering if what i doing is ok or will cause problems???, mainly the covering the wheels?

I,v jack the van up and put on axel stands, so the wheels are off the ground, as not to get any dead spots on the tyres, also i,v got a old ground sheet, plastic, cut to size and wrapped around the wheels and hitch, because of sun light, and held it on with bungees.

Will i need to take these off every now and again when i go to the van to air it.

Iv took everything out of the van except the cushions and stacked them so air flows around them and they dont go damp.

As said every few weeks i will go to the van, open windows and door to allow air , its not at my house, its at the farther inlaws.

Is what im doing ok, and will the wheels being affected withe plastic, will it hold moisture and doing any damage, thanks for any advice, john??

what you have done is fine.dont forget to drain all water inc the toilet tank.leave taps in open position.remove shower head.3 large bowls of salt on the FLOOR will take out most of the damp air.DO not put them on funiture it will spoil the polish.

Just one little afterthought. Have you left off your handbrake so that the brake shoes don't stick on to the drums. It also stops the cable from being stretched. Kenneth

Thanks for advice, yes handbrake is off, it was the plastic groundsheet i,v used for covering the wheels i was unsure off, that it may cause problems, holding moisture, as said i will go to the van every now and again and air it out, leave windows open and door open, and may take the plastic off wheels for a hour or two and keep i eye on the stae of them, again thanks for all the advice, john
