Does anyone have instructions for this awning as none supplied when purchased. Want to use next weekend

Any comments on this awning good or bad would be helpful.

Thanks

It's easy to put up.

1 slide top into awning rail.

2 insert the diagonal poles.

3 insert the horizontal pole and clip awning to it.

4 ensure postion correct and all zips closed before pegging down.

up in less than 10 mins

I have one too - got it free with the caravan. I think its great - easy to put up, fully functional and just right for a weekend break. Just remember the horizontal pole goes under the diagonals and then into the clips. Also be careful of the rubber bungs as they come off easily.

These awnings look ideal for a cold weather one for us, but there is very little space for the awning on the door side on our caravan. Clearly it can't over lap the fridge vents, but would it cause problems if it overlapped a window? (I know it couldn't be opened but I don't know if this sort of awning is likely to damage (scratch) the window.

We initially rejected this style of awning, as our door is at the front, with the roof slope beginning over the door. Therefore it was obviously not possible to have the porch over the door. However, we realised that our alternative for short breaks, a gazebo, did not provide us with this cover either, so we decided to try a Scenic Plus, positioning it to the side of the door, rather than covering it. We have been very pleased so far. It is quick to put up and take down and provides us with the space we need to eat outside or to store tables and chairs overnight. We are still trying different position for the porch. So far we have used it in such a way that it covers a window, without problems, but next weekend intend to try to get it clear of the window, so that we can use the window as a serving hatch when eating outside! I would definitely recommend giving a similar porch serious consideration!

At the weekend, I saw a strange setup that sorta made some sense. A van had their big awning up but also their porch awning up on the other side of the van. Their aquaroll etc was all inside the porch awning along with bikes (padlocked up to the steady)and it just seemed a good idea for extra dry storage space. My only concern would be if running on gas my water heater vent would be inside?

Now that's a great idea for winter caravanning. We don't usually put the awning (we only have a porch) up during winter, but if it looks like there might be minus zero conditions around, we could perhaps use a low amperage heater in the awning to stop the water freezing.

Glad you brought that up Richard, thanks.
