Has anyone been to Pentewan Sands ? It looks good in the brochure and on its own web page, close to the beach, good amenities etc etc. I want to take family for 2 weeks but would like an independant opinion/s before i do. Ta

I'm surprised you haven't had any replies to this post Alan. I have passed the site many times, and also made enquiries, but have never used it because they dont allow dogs. I have no problem with that because the site is next to its own beach and I wouldn't want to take my dogs on there . For those with dogs the owners have another site close by, at Heligan Woods. If the site facilities are as good as the site looks from the road it will be a top notch site.

.... personally if I never had dogs I would go for it. Even if the facilties are rubbish and you had to use your own it probably would be worth it. Really you are paying for the fact you have your own private beach which is just yards away with superb views.

I might be wrong but isnt this a static site also??

It has club, pool, entertainment etc....so if your'e looking for quiet it may not be the site for you. Good location though, there is a nice walk from Pentewan inland from the sea to St Austell which goes along the river through woods, good cycle route too.

Alan, going back to Pentewan Sands end of July, went there 2 years ago & really enjoyed it,loads to do for kids(if they`re happy, then you`re happy). Very large pitches & even if you don`t get a pitch right on the edge of the beach you`re only a couple of minutes walk from it. Very good entertainment at night if you want it, we just stayed for the kids club then went back to our pitch for a few shandies. If you`ve young children I would recommend it. There are statics there but they are at the other end away from the beach.

Hope this helps, Mick.
