Just had a worrying happening. Our battery was disconnected (someone - removed a fuse!) on 2 occasions in the past couple of months. We have a phantom tracker and were told that if the battery failed THEY would phone us to say it was low/failed. To be fair they have 2 years ago told us that it was low. When I phoned them today - they had no notification(alert) that there was anything wrong with my battery. They panicked when I suggested that someone could cut my battery and my caravan would be untraceable. Just give it a go if you have a phantom - disconnect it and see if they phone you. Now it's connected they told me exactly where it is before that they couldn't. Bit worrying. Peace of mind shattered! They are phoning me back tomorrow. Someone has already tried to "advise me" that if the battery fails slowly it would not alert them. Mmmmm interesting.

Let's wait for the official line tomorrow.

About 2 years ago I believe they upgraded their system and I had to contact them as I hadn't received a renewal notification. I had also changed my mobile number. It was a bit disturbing to find out that they didn't have my phone contact number on the new system.

Since that time however they did contact me when I had forgotten to turn the alarm off and was on the move.

It would be interesting to know if there are cheaper and at least just as effective systems around now.

hi.

must say, having had the phantom system now for 6yrs on last caravan and on new lunar as from february.on the few occasions i either inadvertently set off the alarm, changed the battery without informing them, and just last week having left the fridge indication panel on for over 2weeks and battery drained, they have on every occasion rang and advised of an alert on there system.there will always be blips on every system, only hope when its needed mine doesn't blip then.
