Funny you should say that - we had a nosey round it this afternoon. Looks very nice - all clean and new with nicely laid out hard standings - lots of new, young, trees planted - will take a few years to mature - a bit open until then, but still very nice.

Couldn't inspect the washrooms, you need a key.

Hi

We had a good few days there.

Nearby lakes for fishing. Park for walking and cysling. Chesterfield Canal due for improvement eventually in the area. Stavely a bit empty cos it was a mining area and the mines have gone. However all the neccessary there. Chesterfield was well worth a visit particularly on market day. Crooked Spire to climb to.

Site good, light coloured hard standings. Be even better when trees etc grow. they have tried to situate the vans so you do not look directly into others. However some did break the rules re number of cars at a pitch, whilst others parked off centre. We had 1 Nearly on our pitch. Will go again. Other towns like Bakewell not far either

Hi We spent a few days at poolsbrook a few weeks ago - would reiterate what Mike has said. Two different sites - very quiet in the week and extremely busy (totally full) at the weekend with numerous children and their bikes - take your pick!! Suspect the weekend situation will continue because of the site's proximity to Nottingham, Sheffield, Worksop, Derby etc. Because of the layout of the site children use the onsite roads to practise their cycling skills. Very handy for people in transit north to south as the site is just a few minutes from the new M1 29A junction. We will use the site again midweek.
