Possible Army/RAF caravan?

Hello everyone.

We've just "rescued" this caravan from a friend's farm, with a view to renovate it (quite a challenge, I know!).

He thought it might be an army or RAF caravan, but does anyone here know anything about it?

Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum,
It doesn't look like any RAF ones, from the 60's they were mostly squareish. ,
This could be an interesting thread.
When I finished my Apprenticeship at RAE Bedford, we had a caravan to take the free flight model of the MRCA, which turned into the Tornado, and it was a fully turned out workshop pulled by a short wheel base Landrover. Great times.

Like Hutch I do think an army one would be more square in shape. It looks like something just post war but my knowledge of models of that time is poor.

Those wheels look very big - somewhat like the inner wheel of a trucks rear set-up from when they all used twin rear wheels - so a self-build on a goods trailer looks possible.

Agreed, its too well maintained.

Military towing hitches are of the ring and drop bolt type

The NATO ring.

Without seeing t'other side, it does have a look of an old WRVS tea shop. Have a quick shufty inside, see if you can find Flo and Doris.
