Any one know how it comes out?
It is located under the hinged lid and seems to be connected at both ends,
It will bend but cant get it out, one would presume it goes back in the same location.

There should be no need to remap the Powrtouch handset when you change either the handset battery or the main leisure battery.

Thats an interesting one Damien, I have been having problems with it recently, it would cut out after about 30 seconds doing this on numerous occasions, so changed the battery in the handset and I got no response so pluged the lead in to the main box and handset
and off she went. Unplugged and still nothing so last resort re-mapped and it now seems OK.

When and why does it usually need re-mapping?

when you change the handset!!! I'm on my 3rd "own fault" as every hand set seems to have a different frequency once paired up it should work fine, Question, hows the ariel !!!, I had a problem a while back getting the van in and out of the garage, it would stop working when I went round the other side of the van to check the clearance.
someone on the forum mentioned that the position of the ariel might effect coverage and yes it was laying on the floor, after arranging it to the vertical it works a lot better!! still cuts out from time to time though when the vans in the garage and I'm outside,
ok mines an old Truma unit not a Powertouch but it might be similar.

My Powrtouch is the Hd fully auto actuator model 2009. A couple of years ago , Powrtouch changed the handset, because the original one was a job to turn on. I had to remap it and Powrtouch said at the time that it it only when you change the handset that you need to re map. I also queried the short length of time on the unit before it goes to rest mode and they said that they cannot adjust this as it is a very important safety feature to safegard against those who might forget to turn off the isolation switch, and inadvertently turn on the actuator motors while squeezing the handset into a glovebox or similar. They were very adamant that the time span could not be made longer, so it looks as though we have to live with it!

The only way to get the pin out is nail clippers at both ends of the round section,to store it for future use put it on the base under the two mains cables ( centre section)
