I have a Bailey Ranger 470/4 rear stop/tail bulb stopped working. On replacing this the wiring clips at at the back of the bulb holder came adrift, so not sure which goes to which. I then cheched nearstide connections to check connection and found different colours.??? The nearside viewing from back of van from left to right are black/white/red the offside I have 3 wires /brown/white/red does this mean I should wire from left to right red/white/brown

I would say (not 100%) white earth red brake light and other one side light but you could check with a volt meter or test light

brown is the sidelight, red is the brake light and the white is the return [earth] you may find that both the light units are identical except one is fitted upside down. it depends on the light fittings, but either way the wire colours are always the same.
