Reeds Caravans

I have just tried to book my Senator into Reeds in Leeds for a service and was told they are closing then Leeds branch down at the end of October.
This is sad because I have always found the staff to be pleasant and helpful.
I bought my caravan from Reeds in 2007 and have always had it serviced by them. I would like to think that I would have been notified in some way of their closure.
I have come across quite a few caravanners from time to time who speak highly of Reeds's main branch in Blackburn.
Is this a sign of the "Credit Crunch" starting to affect the Caravan industry?

I am amazed it isn't hurting more. After all caravanning is a leisure not a necessity, and people have more pressing financial demands. I am not giving up my van though, might sell one of the kids instead

Find yourself a good mobile service engineer and not only will you save yourself money but you wont have the bother of taking the van to wherever. Just make sure that they are accredited to deal with warranty work.

Unfortunately it is true. We are having to close our Leeds branch 31st October. There is a customer announcement on our main website http://www.readcaravans.com/news.asp which was placed 1st October explaining the reasons. We will be contacting our customers who have bought caravans from our Leeds branch in due course.
