Hi, we have a Reich 'Move Control' motor mover fitted to our single axle van. The mover was fitted new 2 years ago and sits in front of the wheels. At first it worked fine but after our second service the nearside wheel came off the van about half a mile from the dealer. The mover (and some of the van) was damaged. This was repaired by the dealer who we will never visit again. Unfortunately it seems that the mover is no longer quite as tight to the wheels and it slips when it comes under any stress such as level ramp or even the sloping kerb onto our drive. It used to cope easily. Finally the question - is the mover adjustable and if so, how?

Yes it is. If you look closely you will see two flattish plates between which the mover is clamped. These plates are used to set the mover -wheel distance when first installing. Then the main chassis clamps are fitted and torqued up. Did'nt your dealer provide you with the reich pack? You may be able to download one from the web, or try Rich UK. I think the distance mover-wheel is 15mm but better to check.

The gap is 15mm to 20mm, i advise the use of a torque wrench for the clamps, i snapped one!, then bought a torque wrench.

The torque wrench setting for u clamps and protection clamps, is 30Nm.

The above applies to my 2004 model no 527-0520.

When i adjusted mine (had same problem as you) to spec, i found it too tight on the tyre, so ended up backing it of a bit.

You will probably find that you only need to loosen the bolts on the one end.
