I have a powrtouch, different I know but, after a short period of inactivity it has a cut off feature that automatically cuts the power. I need to turn the isolator switch off and on again to reset it. Possibly yours might have something similar?

ps. I can't post pictures either!

I have a Reich soft touch mover new in 2004
I don't know if it is the same control unit as yours, but mine has a button that I have to press twice to activate the controller & once to turn off.
Mine started to switch on for a few seconds then turn itself off. By changing the battery in the hand set sorted it out
Hope that's all that's wrong with yours

Thanks for the link to the help for photos Sprocket. To be honest I haven't actually tried to post any yet, the instructions always sort of deterred me. It took me till about four months ago to get round to adding an avatar

Susan, have a look at this , maybe a phone call to the company will help, but once again, looking at this brochure, the four buttons are for the roller actuation
