Whilst I never owned them back in the day, I have become attached to classic bikes and currently own two 'shopper' types - a 1979 Dawes Kingpin (currently in 'shabby chic' condition, in perfect working order but with a working patina)...
...and a 1973 Elswick-Hopper Cosmopolitan (fully stripped, blasted, powder-coated, converted from Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub to 5-speed derailleur and 'restomod' rebuilt).
I also have a couple of 90s MTBs - a 1997 Trek 830 Mountain Track that I have converted into a drop-barred gravel bike...
...and a 1998 Saracen Dirt Trax that is all totally stock with the addition of mudguards and a pannier rack to make it my off-road commuter.
These represent half of my current fleet (not counting the rest of the family's bikes).
