Removing sticky stuff from caravan wall

I attached velcro pads to the caravan side to fix my wheel windbreak when using the awning. Now I am changing the van and have difficulty removing the residual adhesive (now very hard). Has anybody any ideas what chemical cleaner will dissolve the stuff? Alan

try sunflower oil on a clean rag, wipe over it and you may need to leave it on for a while then keep rubbing and it should slowly dissapear. this works on stickers on cars so it should be ok on your van

Try a squirt of WD40 onto a soft cloth or direct and then rub. It works great for the residue left behind from sticky labels etc. It should be ok on the caravan sides and glass, but can't vouch for its use on caravan windows?

Thanks Brian. It took a lot of applications but now there is no residue. Alan
