Hi
We started married life in a 22ft Shannon Sutherland total bliss coal burning stove, real polished wood ,gas lamps & drop down double bed .12v Nife Battery & Perdio 9" B/W Tv .Life was good then.
Flash forward 47 years and here we go again. We've traded in our Abbey Vogue 215 GT for a Bailey Pegasus 462 and we are about
travel to Crete .We tow with a Range Rover Sport V8 TDI which is unbeatable.
We've travelled this journey many times, and have always used Canvas Holidays Caravans on our stops so we were able to book sites we already know
With everything booked we can't wait for the off on the 18th Aug.
PROBLEM
I can't find any reason not to use 15Kg Calor Bottles 2 will actually fit the front box and tie down nicely.
I don't have a nose weight problem the Sport takes 150 Kg min
Bailey's manual does'nt even acknowledge that 15kg bottles exist,I can't contact them as they are on holiday
Any help will be gratefully accepted

Hi GR, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum.
The forum has a thriving overseas parks & touring section and your advice and opinions will be very welcome.
Sorry that I can't help with the Bailey question but if you ask in the General section you are sure to receive more replies with advice about gas bottles.

Hmm !!
The AL-KO 3004 seems to be capable of 150kg ..........
But what do Bailey advise for the max nose weight for the van ?????
Is the AL-KO 3004 fitted to this van ???

I would be very surprised if the maximum permissible noseweight for the Pegasus is more than 100kg.

Have a look here it gives the MRO & MTPLM .
But i cant see any max noseweight ..........
Wonder if that has any thing to do with the vans being nose heavy, as reported by lots of people who have bought them ?

…….the question is why do you want to carry 2x 15kg-gas bottles in summer?
We of course do not know how long you are going for but the two bottles would give you 408-kilowatt hours of heat.
I take one full 13kg Calor Propane to Spain for 5 weeks every February and usually bring some back!
